The Stormtroopers (Stunt) were the pre-emptive strike force in the boarding party of the Rebel blockade runner the Tantive IV, and made up the main garrison that could be seen throughout the corridors of The first Death Star.

This was my very 1st costume that I built from a kit made by Anovos. It came as raw vacuformed pieces in a box. I had to trim it, and glue and connect all the pieces to size it to my body. I have made several modifications to make it as screen accurate, and as comfortable to wear as possible.

Did you know that there were two different kinds of Stormtroopers on screen used in A New Hope (The original Star Wars)? The costumes used for close up shots and that Luke and Han stole is referred to as the Hero version. The armor is the same but the helmet is different.

Mine is the Stunt version and I actually like this version better. To me it looks like what my mind thinks of when I picture a Stormtrooper.

With this costume I have had the honor of meeting celebrities, getting to be at home plate at the San Francisco Giants game for Star Wars day. I have gotten to be a backup dancer on stage with Weird Al Yancovic (He signed his signature inside my helmet), and escorted several stars from the Star Wars movies on stage at a Star Wars panel at the Silicon Valley Comicon. And it's now screen used in the Disney+ show Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 5!

I love this costume because it is the one people get so excited to see. People who don't even know much about Star Wars know who a Stormtrooper is. Kids and adults love us. The best part is seeing people's reactions from behind the lenses.
